the process of receiving and listening to demos is akin to the proverbial needle in a haystack - poorly labeled cd’s or mp3’s are handed out indiscriminately like flyers for strip clubs in times square (circa 1970). “i really think you are going to like this,” or “all nude girls,” and “dj ‘x’ played this at space,” or “24 hours live sex show…!!” but in the end, just like the harsh reality of a stripper in daylight, the demos fall well short of anything mildly interesting and certainly nothing you would bring home to mom… until madato… from the first group of tracks he sent it was clear that a nice guy from naples had sent us the needle we had been looking for. “naples may not be a place one would consider to be particularly inspiring, from its outside appearance, chaos, and plenty of junk on the streets - it takes a deeper gaze, beyond, and into madato’s dream world. madato is always looking at what’s beyond the waste. inside his dream box you might find laura palmer making out with ian curtis, charles bukowski writing a fairy tale, or perhaps john nash singing along to bauhaus songs…” file under: trippy disco inspired dance music, not defined by a genre but more of an attitude. post-punk undertones mixed with psychedelic sensibility

the fifth neurhythmics release is a compilation of befriended artists, and this is reflected by the different interpretations of the individuals to what the labels sound is about. juergen provides the a-side with >common sense< a vocal-snippet driven house-track, that once again underpins his sound-aesthetics of having it sound live and mixed on the fly, straight out of the machine. the flip-side could not start off any better. quite possibly a future classic, >signature< by mike binary, has soul and emotion literally squeezed in between each of the effortlessly programmed beats, and has become one the favourite tracks at the neurhythmics hq to ever been put on the label. last but not least, >no other< by the dirty soul project (you will know these guys, but we were sworn to secrecy) firmly pulls the hand brake and slows things down to just over 110 bpm. this doesnt mean that this very hypnotic number isnt going to work in the early morning slots…au contraire, actually...

the labels hiatus is over. a few years have passed and neurhythmics resurfaces after like-minded souls decided to bring it back. juergen junker returns with a 3 track 12inch that stems from a live-set concept he created over the last few months. raw as you like, it takes a distinct bow towards the earlier days of the windy city. dirty, knackered sounding drums, and cut-up vocal bits fused together to a driving force that is hard to resist. the a-side , >unclean mutha< is a definitely x-rated affair that has the jacking feel built right into arrangement. on the b-side, this is suitably followed up by >working her for real<, which is what we want to happen when this is being played in the club. work it, baby..! the second track, >honey< with its camp statement vocals and similar vibe rounds things up for the first part.

new school techno producer, dj and live performer mike dehnert is to release his first album proper on delsin records in spring 2011

since the release of their debut single in 2010, brightons :kinema: have seen themselves compared by the likes of the guardian and dummy to everyone from hot chip and phoenix, through to scritti politti and even wham! now after a series of sold out shows honing their sound they release >my beautiful machines<, the highlight of their live sets and the cause of many a stage invasion. sophisticated, soulful pop music with a sharp indie edge, this is an ep from a band on the cusp of stardom that has already earned plays on both radio 1 and xfm. taking the track to a whole new disco level are the remixes from swedens drop out orchestra which turn machines into an insanely funky 12 minute long live disco workout that has featured heavily in the sets of djs like tronik youth and justin robertson.

for is 3rd release on musique risquee, after the well acclaimed dirty lipreading single and is first full lenght foe destroyer, stephen beaupre is back with a really solid record. thats all there is to say. gl’amour as the distinctive signature of stephen beaupré, his subtle use of vocals, strings colored with warm echos layered on a big and chunky drum beat. you can easilly acknowledge is natural sens of storytelling unfold in a brillant way. on the flipside, when you have it, would be an excellent way to summarise stephen electrifying live sets: funky, melodic hypnotic and sexy. we are very proud of this last one, hope you enjoy as much as we do.

matthew styles remixes one of fofs biggest releases of 2010. never straying far from the source material, matthew wraps things up in his usual tight production style, employing a live bass sound and elements of the original melody to give things a tripppier edge than the originals straight up dance floor leanings.

nice price deal !!! early support by luciano, dop, mathias kaden, steve bug, dixon, tini, karotte, markus fix, chris lattner, timo maas, ripperton, nick harris, martin landsky!baalsaal welcomes mr aeromaschine and predicts a long relationship to come. aeromaschine delivered a real versatile stunner. debunking random myths stands out as a very unpredictable piece of live performanced like collage and definitely will be his opener on his next festival in summer. not so is an hypnotic acidy interpretation of past future old school with a present high roller coat. this track blew us away. on the flip dean aka bearweasel digs a little deeper with classy dubby elements and a journey to planet x dream dancing to come... the dark horse is serenades for simple brains a beatdowner that nails it when it comes to non hype edit production.. a track to play for the next decade.

recorded in the winter/spring of 2009, first released in june 2009. at the time i called it my failed kompakt techno experiment, i started out with that minimal beat in mind but ended with something different. the title was the first thing i started with after watching some miss helen mirror on tv at the period, still love the title really. songs became longer and i discovered the delay while recording. this second record was the first one were i started settling on an sound of my own. some weeks after recording the screaming girls on the last track during their sunday afternoon youth group activity a baby fetus was found on their field with the mother being one of the girls

zckr02 is a limited release of 450 pieces which are hand-numbered and available only in vinyl. this new release is from a young and talented bremer artist named playmodul and it also marks his début on zckr records. he has been a core part of the zckr label from its birth, which has bloomed in this hanseatic city. playmodul performs powerfully both live / djsets at his favourite house/club: the zucker. his deebut single from zckr records starts with the ep canula, a wonderful dream journey between electronicfields and deep waters.

new label that was was recommended to us by hotflush label owner paul rose who knew recondite from a local berlin hangout. we immediatly liked it because this is clearly done for the love of the music. pressed in a ultra limited 200 copies run (of which a first batch have been given away already to friends of the label owner) we managed to get the remaining copies for you. four tracks of deep techno that is a collection of snapshots of recondites daily live. somehow melancholic, adventurous and lush tracks that also can be found in the productions of labels such as dial. dont sleep on this one!!
